Trauma
Following the experience of trauma most people experience a range of physical and emotional symptoms such as increased heart rate and blood pressure, fear and/or anxiety, sweating, changes in sleep patterns, being easily startled by noises, anger and/or irritability, emotional swings, nightmares, flashbacks, difficulties concentrating and a range of other symptoms.
Sarah can assist you by helping you to understand the range of normal responses to trauma and supporting you to cope with the experience. Sarah can also help you to understand the difference between a normal response and a more complex response such as acute stress disorder or post-traumatic stress disorder (or PTSD).
